West Kirby Beach

First up, we have West Kirby Beach, which is 300 metres long and is located between sand dunes and flats. With a range of bars, cafes, and sandwich shops nearby, West Kirby Beach is an ideal day out for you and your family!

There is free parking available near the promenade, which runs along the length of the marine lake. This lake is a popular destination for watersports and boat trips.

Thurstaston Beach

Next, we have Thurstaston Beach, which is a popular destination and a favourite for cyclists and walkers. This is a great place to go if you are looking for somewhere new to walk your dog as it is full of large green areas and a great walking path.

There is a path that runs through Thurstaston Beach called the Wirral Way. This runs through the village and is around 12 miles long.

This beach offers an excellent view of the countryside and coast, which allows you to view the Liverpool skyline.

There are a range of attractions located near this beach, such as the church farm, which is a great day out for the family as it allows children to meet the animals.

A great way to finish the day is by paying a visit to Flissy’s cafe. This is just a seven-minute walk from Thurstaston Beach via the Wirral Way and is animal-friendly.

This cafe is a great way to relax and recharge, and it comes with a range of desserts and foods to choose from!

Wallasey Beach

This beach is another popular destination located in the Wirral, near the end of the North Wirral Coastal Park. There is free parking next to the beach, and public toilets are available (approximately 200 yards away).

This is a popular beach for kite surfers and is located near the Wallasey Golf Club. With a range of dining options nearby, such as Caffe Cream, Marino Lounge, cocktail bars and more, it is a perfect day out!

New Brighton Beach

New Brighton beach overlooks the Liverpool skyline and is a great place for families, cyclists and more! It is a dog-friendly beach and includes parking, nearby toilets, pubs and a leisure complex.

Located in the northeast corner of the Wirral Peninsula, there are ¾ miles of sandy beaches. This beach offers a great view of the Mersey estuary and allows you to watch ships sail out into the Irish Sea.

Leasowe Bay

Lastly, we have Leasowe Bay. This beach is also located along the northern end of the Wirral Peninsula and includes a path that is ideal for walking, cycling and even riding horses.

There is free car parking available that overlooks the beach, and golf clubs are located on either side. A picnic area and promenade are facilities located near Leasowe Bay and the nearest town is Wallasey.

Wallasey Village comes with a range of restaurants, shops and cafes, such as Stollies Cafe and Deli, Woodhouse Coffee Shop, Fleur Ashley Tea Room, and much more!
